Too Good to Redeem? Could Be a Scam!
Dear Customers,
Beware of the sneaky point redemption scam! Scammers are sending fake SMS about banking promos and point redemptions. Sounds tempting? That’s the trap. Here’s how the scheme works:
You get an SMS “from the bank” about point redemption or a special promo — complete with a link to a fake banking site. On that fake site, you’ll be asked to enter sensitive info like your PIN, credit/debit card number, CVV/CVC, or even OTP. Once they have your details, scammers can hijack your bank account. Stay sharp. Don’t get tricked — read these first!
Think twice before jumping on too-good-to-be-true promos. Always double-check offers, services, or products with official customer service, social media, or the bank’s website.Watch your inbox! Delete any suspicious banking-related SMS from unknown numbers — no hesitation.Don’t fall for shady links. Especially if they ask for your personal info — that’s your red flag.Keep your banking details to yourself. Your PIN, CVV, and OTP are yours alone. Even “admin” shouldn’t have them.Spot a shady SMS?
